MEET EM
Em Carey is a best-selling author, artist, and speaker best known for surviving a skydiving accident that changed her life forever. In 2013, while travelling in Switzerland, Em’s parachute failed to open during a tandem skydive, sending her plummeting 14,000 feet to the ground.
Against all odds, she survived — and after being told she may never walk again, Em taught herself to do just that.
Through vulnerability, resilience, and creativity, she’s rebuilt a life of purpose — and now inspires others to do the same. Em is also a long-time ambassador for Francesca Jewellery and shares her journey with a devoted community online.
ABOUT THE BOOK
In this moving and deeply honest memoir, Em shares the raw truth of her fall, her recovery, and the emotional journey that followed. The Girl Who Fell From the Sky is not just about survival — it’s about choosing joy, finding meaning in pain, and learning to live fully in a body that feels unfamiliar.
Described as:
“Life-affirming, brave, and beautifully written”
“A must-read for anyone going through something hard”
