AI Policy
Last Updated: 31 July 2026
This page sets out how Club Coco uses artificial intelligence, what we ask of our clients, and the reasoning behind both. Our position is simple. AI supports the way we write and the way we run projects. It has no role in designing your brand.
Where we use AI
Copy - refining and tightening written copy, always edited by a person before it reaches you
Research - competitor and market context while we're getting to know your business
Admin - project management, internal notes and the everyday running of the studio
Where we don't
We don't use AI to design your logo or brand marks
We don't use AI to choose your colour palette or typography
We don't use AI to set your creative direction
Every piece of creative work in your final files is created, directed, reviewed and approved by our designers
What we ask of you
Please do
Use AI to brainstorm your own business goals before we start
Use it to organise your thoughts before you fill in your questionnaire
Use it to research your market or your ideal customer
Send us real references: brands you love, packaging, products, photography, typography, colour
Tell us what's working and what isn't, in your own words
Please don't
Generate a logo, brand concept or design mock-up and send it to us
Send AI-generated images as inspiration or creative direction
Use AI to write your questionnaire or copy guide answers
Use AI to write your feedback on our designs
Ask AI to create alternate versions of the concepts we send you
Upload our drafts, concepts or preview links to any AI tool
On Pinterest. A lot of what's on Pinterest is AI-generated now, and it's genuinely difficult to identify. We don't expect you to vet your board. Pin what you're drawn to and we'll work around anything we can't use.
On uploading our work. This is the one we're strictest about. Until your final files are delivered and paid for in full, everything we send you is unreleased, confidential work and remains under our copyright.
Why we're firm on this
AI-generated design is built from work that already exists on the internet, which is exactly why it tends to look generic. What we make for you is custom. It doesn't exist anywhere else.
There's a practical side too. Under current Australian law, material generated solely by AI may not attract copyright protection the way human-authored work does, because copyright needs a human author. For a brand you're building to last, that matters.
We also won't copy AI-generated design as it doesn’t align with our values or beliefs.
